:description : This update provides updated support for nVidia Riva TNT 
               and TNT2 chipsets and fixes a problem seen primarily
	       when running gimp where drawing is corrupted.  This update
	       was tested on the Creative Graphics Blaster TNT, the
	       Diamond Viper V550, and the Diamond Viper V770.	


How do I install this update?

  You need to be logged in as root to install this update.

  For FreeBSD and Linux, do the following:

    download D5003.008.tar.gz and place in the directory /usr/X11R6/lib/X11

    unix-prompt> cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11
    unix-prompt> tar xvzf D5003.008.tar.gz
    unix-prompt> rm AcceleratedX/boards/.Xaccel.cache
    unix-prompt> rm AcceleratedX/monitors/.Xaccel.cache

    at this point, you may wish to (re)run Xsetup -text to
    (re)configure your graphics board/chipset and monitor.

    Please start or re-start your X server for the changes to take
    effect.

  For Solaris do the following:

    download D5003.008.tar.Z
    place D5003.008.tar.Z in the directory /usr/openwin/lib
    unix-prompt> cd /usr/openwin/lib

    unix-prompt> uncompress D5003.008.tar.Z
    unix-prompt> tar xvf D5003.008.tar
    unix-prompt> rm AcceleratedX/boards/.Xaccel.cache
    unix-prompt> rm AcceleratedX/monitors/.Xaccel.cache

    at this point, you may wish to (re)run Xsetup -text to
    (re)configure your graphics board/chipset and monitor.

    Please start or re-start your X server for the changes to take
    effect.
